Simply put, APMG is one of Australia 's leading consultancies specialising in project management. We are unusual in the community in that our approach to consultancy is based on a completely integrated programme of education, consulting and mentoring. Our training and services are built around the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) which is the international standard for project management. PMBOK was established by the Project Management Institute of the USA , and underlies Australia 's own competency standards for practitioners.

One of the strengths of the organisation's approach is that we develop workshops tailored to our client's needs. This allows us to work in close partnership with our clients and ensure that a strong skillbase is transferred to our client's project management team.

APMG describes our approach to business as a 'Projects' approach. This approach is in contrast with the traditional view of business, that of a 'Process' approach.
